Happy Deepotsav 2024
After Lord Shri Ram was seated in the divine and grand temple, the eighth Deepotsav organized in Ramnagar was inscribed in golden letters in history. This Deepotsav was also special because Ramnagari witnessed not one but two records.
Two world records in a single event
On one hand, Ramki Paidi, Bhajan Sandhya Sthal, and Chaudhary Charan Singh Ghat were illuminated by the light of diyas, while on the other hand, Saryu Mata was also illuminated.
Not one, not two, but 1600 devoted devotees remained engrossed in the Aarti of Maa Saryu. In this first-of-its-kind event, by creating two world records simultaneously, Mother Saryu seemed proud and proud.
25 lakh 12 thousand 585 diyas were lit simultaneously at Ram Ki Paidi, Chaudhary Charan Singh Ghat, and Bhajan Sandhya Sthal. This record was made in 35 minutes. Before this, in the presence of Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, CM Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak and Mahaarti coordinator Mayor Mahant Girishpati Tripathi, 1600 Sadhus-Saints, Vedacharyas and Archakas performed Maha Aarti of holy river Saryu.
1121 monks created a world record
In this, 1121 monks created a world record by performing Saryu Aarti together. This has been announced by the Guinness World Record team. The priests divided into 16 sections on the banks of Saryu created history by performing the Mokshadayini Aarti together. There was a chief priest in each section and 100 devotees were seen performing the Aarti.
More than 500 women wearing the same coloured yellow sarees also participated in the Maha Aarti and became witnesses to the world record. The Saryu bank of one and a half kilometer radius was illuminated with divine aura due to the Maha Aarti.
Both world records were made within an hour
The Maha Aarti of the holy river Saryu started at 6:20 in the evening. The Saryu Aarti took about half an hour. After that, the lighting of lamps started. Both the world records of the Maha Kumbh of lamps and the Maha Aarti of Saryu were made within an hour in a single event.
Though the Festival of lights has already made its mark at the global level, on Wednesday it became the first cultural event of its kind in the whole world by creating two world records simultaneously.
