On March 7, the state government started giving the benefit of the Happy Card Scheme to families with an annual income of 1 lakh or less than 1 lakh. Under this scheme, cards will be distributed to about 85 lakh beneficiaries in the state. Before the Model Code of Conduct, cards were distributed to 59 thousand 708 people, they have completed a journey of 37.88 lakh kilometers.
Students who score more than 60% marks will get Happy Cards
In such a situation, now this facility is going to be available to school-going students. The state government is preparing to give Happy Cards to the students who score 60% or more marks in classes 10th and 12th. Under this, students will be able to travel up to 500 km for free in Haryana Roadways buses.
The state government has directed the education and transport departments to prepare data on promising students so that the scheme can be started as soon as possible. The report prepared by the education department will be sent to the transport department because the transport department has to make the Happy Cards.

According to sources, children of poor families are already involved in the Happy Card scheme. Now they can be given an additional 500 kms. Children who do not fall in the category of poor can be allowed to travel 500 km free.
